The WRENCH

Winnipeg Repair Education and Cycling Hub

Summer position at The WRENCH involved developing a second location at the Forks, including building the proposal, budgeting, branding, setting up the site, staffing, and program development for the summer. Indigenous mentorship included teaching bike mechanic workshops and leading group rides. Design work is below:

Bike Art Workshops

Programming at The Forks “Localmotion” location included bike art workshops where we created bike jewelry, make bike tire prints, and decorated our rides for the Art City parade. Gallery below:

Traditional Trails

Developed and ran the Traditional Trails group ride series.  Partnering with Indigenous cyclist Adrian Alphonso, we lead rides throughout the summer exploring Treaty One territory using bikes to connect the land and elders. Themes of the rides included Métis history, medicines and food knowledge, Indigenous art and murals, Indigenous women’s organizing, and reconciliation.  Gallery below:

Bike!Bike!
