Red Rising Magazine

I’m a co-founder of Red Rising Magazine, an indigenous collective that produces unfiltered and uncensored stories, art, and poetry from the community. The idea to create an Indigenous magazine to showcase the brilliance in our communities came about in 2015 after discussions about the media’s negative portrayal of Indigenous people. I’ve been involved from issue 1-6.

My role focused on graphic design, publishing, and community arts facilitation. I designed the logo, original website (that’s no longer), the first two issues, and worked in the design team for the remaining issues.
